Clinton Avenue Apartments project is a newly constructed three-story, 20-unit building that provides a mix of affordable housing and permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or in recovery from substance abuse. The project is located at 102-124 Clinton Avenue in the City of Albany.

The property is comprised of 17 one-bedroom apartments and 3 two-bedroom apartments. The project serves households at 50% of AMI (area median income) and below. The one-bedroom units lease for $625/month and the two-bedroom units lease for $695/month. All units are individually metered, and tenants are responsible for heat, electric, and hot water. Half of the units (10 one-bedroom units) provide permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals with SMI or in recovery from substance abuse through the NYS Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI). Of the supportive housing units, three target MRT eligible individuals.

The one-bedroom units range in size from 723-774 square feet. The two-bedroom units are 1,034 sq. ft. Coin-op laundry facilities and tenant storage are provided in the building. Some off-street parking is available. A community room and outdoor deck/patio are available and offer space for residents to socialize informally and may host programmatic activities for residents. Supportive services will be provided primarily in the community and within the supportive housing resident’s individual apartments; however, common area at the project may be used for group meetings and activities. The property will include one office space, which will be shared on a drop-in basis by property management and supportive services staff.
